About Me

Me in My Hometown, Pingtung, Taiwan.

My name is 歐力綱.
Like other English learners, I have an English name, James.
That's what my teachers and students call me.
You may already notice the heading of this blog is based on my English name. hahahaha

I come from Taiwan, now studying my MA degree in ELT (SM) in the University of Warwick, UK.
Before coming here, I taught English at Hua Dong Taiwanese Businessman School, which is established exclusively for Taiwanese students in China.

Me and My Lovely Students (on the day when I left)
I enjoyed my teaching life fairly much. Loving pop music and new things, I used English songs and novel video clips to teach my students listening, cultures, and other hot topics.
I also identified some ELT/ELL problems in Taiwan context, trying to conquer them. It was quite challenging to a 25-year-old, novice teacher, so I believed that I have to improve my knowledge.

This year, I become a student again, eager to find out tools and approaches, especially with technology, that could assist ELT/ELL. I will post what I successfully used in my teaching, and what inspires me a lot in my learning. That's all, I think. : )
